The Trio are thrilled with the opportunity to show their independent collaboration and their common interest for the first time of the so called ''Jazz Fusion''. NO! They won't be playing ''Chameleon''. NO! They won't be playing ''The Chicken'' or any of those simple jazz fusion jam song. They will be originals by Duhaime and Racz, and hard covers such as Chick Corea Elektric Band, Mahavishinu Orchestra, Allan Holdsworth, etc.

Bios

Sean Duhaime
Sean Duhaime is a guitarist, composer and arranger. He performs as a bandleader, collaborator and sideman with numerous bands and musicians (such as Blakdenim, Slim Moore, Vince Rimbach, etc.) for almost 10 years. He has performed at RBC Ottawa Blues Festival, TD Ottawa Jazz Festival, National Art Centre, Infinity Convention Centre, CTV Television Station, Ottawa City Hall and multiple of venues in Ottawa, Gatineau, Wakefield, Montreal and Toronto.
In 2011, Duhaime decided to expand his own horizons, when he formed his own project along with Laura Greenberg (JW Jones and Old Whiskey Road) on bass and Jansen Richard on drums. They performed several of Duhaime’s compositions and arrangements in Ottawa and Gatineau area, the audience complimenting on Sean’s original ‘’Bert’’ as one of their favorites. On October 2nd, 2016, they released an EP entitled ‘’Finally!’’ at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield, Quebec. ‘’Finally’’ has 4 original tracks including ‘’Bert’’, ‘’Tomo’’, ‘’Unblue’’ and ‘’Kenshiro’’. The EP was recorded by tape and no over dubs by Scott McCanell.
Roland Racz
Roland Rácz is a professional jazz musician from Hungary. He graduated from the jazz piano program at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest in 2008, going on to become a highly sought-after and versatile session player in Europe and Canada. He is proficient in jazz, pop, Latin and world music genres, and has been celebrated for his signature technique of laying down highly independent bass lines in the left hand to accompany more conventionally pianistic figures in the right. He also has a solid reputation in Hungary as a composer and arranger, having won multiple awards for his jazz compositions.

Since 2009, Roland has been a member of the renowned Hungarian world music ensemble Ghymes. He has also worked with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, the Endre-eNerd Project (with guest artist Rob van de Wouw on trumpet), and world-renowned fusion drummer Peter Szendofi. In addition to being an avid performer and composer, he is also an experienced educator. He takes great joy in teaching piano, and has a gift for naturally conveying his love of music to his students. Some of his areas of expertise include jazz fusion, Latin music, keyboard bass, composition and arrangement for jazz combo and big band, music theory and jazz theory.
Stephen Adubofuor
Stephen is a highly accomplished musician/drummer who has played with a who's who on the local music scene in multiple genres from jazz to funk, rock, hip hop, blues, gospel and everything in between. One of Ottawa's busiest drummers Stephen really shines in trio format.

All Live @ Record Runner concerts are held at Record Runner Rehearsal Studios in a warm and intimate setting. Seating is very limited - it is recommended to purchase your tickets early before show sells out. Refreshments will be served.

YOUR INSTRUMENT/VOCAL CHORDS, CHARTS IF YOU HAVE THEM, A FRIENDLY ATTITUDE AND GOOD  VIBES.

ALL JAM SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO BE INCLUSIVE AND ENCOURAGING IN A FUN AND RESPECTFUL ENVIRONMENT. COME PLAY OR SIMPLY COME LISTEN, HANG OUT AND HAVE A GOOD TIME. EITHER WAY, YOU WILL BE ENTERTAINED. SEE YOU April 30th!
