Formed in 2015, Nouvelle R is a jazz, rock and world music trio comprised of the above-noted, Montreal-based musicians.
With the recent release of Nouvelle R’s new album, Sénescence, the trio will be doing a mini-tour and Record Runner is thrilled to be one of their stops!
A blend of instrumental Jazz, Folk and Rock music, Sénescence reflects on the relationship between man and the planet he inhabits. It is a true storytelling album, with nine chapters represented by nine original compositions that transport the audience into a vivid and fantastical universe. Nouvelle R’s trio of musicians revels in improvisation: complex melodies, rhythms and harmonies cavort in a spontaneous and unpredictable fashion, while still maintaining an accessible tether to their listening audience.
