Bios:

Rachelle Behrens (Vocals)

Rachelle Behrens is a Chilean-Canadian freelance singer based in Ottawa, Ontario. She’s a dynamic performer with range and heart singing in English, Spanish, and French.

Rachelle loves performing and so you’ll find her singing Latin, funk, soul, rock, and jazz at many local festivals (Jazzfest, Folkfest to name a few), and venues all over the National Capital Region including the prestigious National Arts Centre.

Now, she brings her considerable skill and experience to bear on her new CD Nostalgia with the help of Angel Araos (percussion), Steve Boudreau (piano) and special guest Cesar Ricardo (guitar), and Don Paterson (trumpet).

Nostalgia is out now and blends the best of Rachelle’s Latin roots with crisp, classic arrangements that showcase her soulful, expressive voice. Travel across Latin America with of some of the most well-known and beloved traditional Latin songs. Steve Boudreau (Piano)

Steve Boudreau is an Ottawa-based pianist who has performed and studied across North America and parts of Europe.  His latest project is a trio album called "Preludes" featuring his arrangements of Gershwin music.  Steve also works frequently as a vocal accompanist in various genres and teaches piano both privately and through the Carleton University music department.

Marc Decho (Bass)

Born in Montreal and now based in Wakefield, Quebec, bassist/composer Marc Decho is a top call bassist in the Ottawa/Gatineau region,  widely known for his work in multiple genres such as jazz, afro-Cuban, latin, funk, hip-hop & beyond. Marc has performed at major musicals festivals throughout Canada, Europe & Cuba.

Angel Araos (Percussion)

Born and Raised in Santiago Chile also a graduate from la Universidad De Santiago in music, Angel’s percussion skills are in high demand in the city.

Cesar Ricardo

Born in the beautiful coastal town of Gibara, Cuba, César Ricardo is a much sought after singer-songwriter in the local musical community, having made various appearances in a multitude of local festivals (Ottawa Jazz Festival, Carnival of Cultures, Orleans Festival and more).  Currently concentrating his efforts on his solo projects, song-writing and working with his band the ‘Cesar Ricardo Band’, Cesar keeps very busy these days.

All Live @ Record Runner concerts are held at Record Runner Rehearsal Studios in a warm and intimate setting. Seating is very limited - it is recommended to purchase your tickets early before show sells out. Refreshments will be served.
